towne of Scarbrough and one of his
Maiestes Iustices of peace within the said Libertes the
forthe daye of Iune Anno domini 1634/
The said examinant saith that he hath beene in the towne of
Scarbrough ever since satterdaye was a senett and hath beene playeinge of
his l<..>d and pipes ever since. and wentt to Seamer this daye beinge the iijth daye of Iune.
and saith that he was in the house of Roger Shiminges vppon
satterdaie night Last. butt came fourth presently and wentt frome thence
to Margarett Richardson and came to his bode to
Thomas wrightes as he thinkes: and Layd there
all night and ever since andatt Thomas
wrightes./ and that he never see any sheetes of Roger
Shiminges. butt that he sould a sheet att Seamer ‸⸢vpon Thursday night that⸣<......> that which he brought to the towne with him.
and offered the said sheete at Scarbrough to sell to Iohn

The said examinant vppon her oath saith that shee had two paire of sheetes gone, butt shee will not charge William Percey with the takinge of them/

Gregory Fish acted as junior bailiff in 1615 and 1618, and as senior bailiff in 1622, 1627, 1633. He died in 1640. The parish of Seamer lies about three miles south of Scarborough.
