  • Endnote

The Bellasis family was resident at Newburg Priory.

‘Mr. Harry’ is likely being used here to differentiate from Sir Henry. ‘Your Worship’ may refer either to Sir Henry or Sir Thomas Bellasis. 'Lo{rd} Dudleys men' (f [95v]) would have been the company under the patronage of Edward Sutton (1567-1643), fifth Baron Dudley, which performed widely in the north, including performances in Newcastle, York, and at Gawthorpe Hall, Lancashire (P&P).
