Maye yt please all those to vnderstand, and be advertised whome it doth concern, of a disordered company that did assemble themselves in the howse and yard of one ffrancis Preston thelder ouer against the howse of this bearer Thomas Iohnson in the Manle end of Westbromwich in the cownty of Stafford he being our minister and precher by the space of 3 yeares and a halfe which disordered Crwe did sally forth befor his doore, one being Caryed on a ladder on mens showlders naming himselfe Iohnson, one other atyred mawkin naming him Iohnson's wife thus with their rable following them, with distafe, frying pan, spade before with strong showtings passed to the churche yate; from thenc, throwgh a street called Linedon, and at the tyme being the 18th daye of Maye abowt the setting of the sonne the foresayd Iohnson was in the shopp of Iohn Renmer Bucher bying of meat and against the window they made a stopp crying Iohnson is beaten setting the street on an uprore, to his gret amazement and our discomfort the dishonor of god and breache of peace, which we humblye refer to your worships censur for amendment.
