  • Document Description

    Record title: Steward's Voucher
    Repository: Southampton City Archives
    Shelfmark: SC5/12/462
    Repository location: Southampton

The voucher is a loose bill presumably later entered into the steward's accounts for this year. The steward's accounts for this year have not survived and the audit accounts for this year in the Second Book of Debts do not mention the queen's players, presumably lumping this reward with the other gifts and rewards paid out by the steward.

    9 May 1612; English; paper; single sheet; 106mm x 197mm; endorsed: '9 May 1612 | paid the queenes | players 2 li.–0–0.'
