<......>idwell Presentatur for that he keeping an Alehowse <.....>uffer disorder in his howse vpon the sabboth daie and namely vpon the sundaie before Michaelmas daie in eveninge prayer tyme there were divers in his howse & kept disorder there.
Et .23. Octobris 1615 exhibita Citacione originali per Iohannem Carpenter Apparitorem perquisitus fuit dictus Maidwell sed non inventus qui preconizatus comparuit fatetur confessio publice in Ecclesia ibidem & ad certificandum inde proxime. Emanauit.
Et 30. Octobris .1615. dictus Maidwell preconizatus non comparuit pena in .2. et statim exhibitum fuit certificarium &c. et dimittitur./

Presentatur for that he being at the said Maidwells howse the said daie & tyme did make a shew of ringeing all in (as he called yt) which he did with a Candlesticke, and then did singe (as we are informed) bawdy & ribald songes to the dishonour of God & profanacion of the sabboth, & ill example of others.

And on 23 October 1615, with the original citation being shown by John Carpenter, apparitor, the said Maidwell was sought but not found and when he was summoned, he appeared. He makes public confession in the church there, and is to certify thereto at the next (court day). (A writ) has been issued.
And on 30 October 1615 the said Maidwell having been summoned did not appear. Punishment in two and at once the certificate was shown, etc, and he is dismissed.
