Presentatur Henry Calton for caleinge diuerse men together the same eveninge that Iohn Swans wyfe departed, and gaue some of them drincke more then suffycient, so that it is reported that one Arche a miller was so droncken that he knew not what he did. Emanauit citacio contra dictum Calton in hos &c Quibus &c. dominus decreuit predictum Calton diligenter perquisitum latitantem et non inventum nec comparentem citandum fore vijs et modis ad secundum Iunij proximo. Quo die non comparuit vnde dominus viz. Magister Revell pronunciauit eum Contumacem et in penam contra eum ab ingressu Ecclesie suspensio Emanauit. Henry Calton is presented (English) A citation was issued against him regarding these (matters) On which (day) and at which (place) the lord (judge) decided that the aforesaid Calton, who having been diligently sought was hiding, and was not found, and did not appear, was to be cited by ways and means for 2 June next. On which day he did not appear where the lord (judge), namely Master Revell, pronounced him contumacious and in penalty against him a suspension from entering the church was issued. And it was announced in the church there on 4 June 1592, by Michael Cavel, the vicar there as is apparent. |
