Robertus Goodwin. Presentatur per Magistrum Gyles vicarium de Elme for strikeinge & playinge vpon a drumme in Elme vpon a sundaie morninge a little before prayere time, when they were at service every where rounde aboute, & he to the grate scandall of those that were well disposed, continued that sport till the minister there sent word to leave. Et 2 Decembris 1607 exhibita Citacione originali per Willelmum Olecorne Apparitorem citatur preconizatus comparuit dicit yat he was hiered to a bridall & the vse is in euery towne they goe throughe to strike vp the drome./ & soe he did when he cam at Ellme. et aliter negat <.>e Cum pia monicione &c dominus eum dimisit/

Robertus Goodwin predictus. Presentatur similiter, that he notwithstanding he was so warned as abouesaid yet immediately before eveninge prayere when the sexton had runge all in, he stroke vp an Alarum aboute the Church in Contempt of the Minister there. &c. Et 2 decembris 1607 exhibita citacione originali per Willelmum Olecorne Apparitorem °citatur preconizatus comparuit dicit yat he at the request of Mr Balam a Iustice d whoe was desyrouse to haere the sound of the drum he did strike vp &c et aliter negat. vnde cum et fidem inde fecit tactes &c vnde cum pia monicione dimittitur

    Robert Goodwin. A presentment is made by Master Gyles, vicar of Elme English) And on 2 December 1607, with the original citation having been shown by William Olecorne, apparitor, he is cited. Having been summoned, he appeared. He says (English) And otherwise he denies <..> (the charge). The lord (judge) dismisses him with a solemn warning, etc.

    Robert Goodwin aforesaid. A presentment is made similarly (English) And on 2 December 1607, with the original citation having been shown by William Olecorne, apparitor °he is cited. Having been summoned, he appeared. He says (English) And otherwise he denies (the charge), wherefore with and he took a corporal oath on the matter. Wherefore, he is dismissed with a solemn warning.°
