(Against) Robert Barker A presentment is made (English) A citation was issued against him on 22 May 1601. On which day the said Barker appeared and, when he was charged with the article, etc, confessed that the same was true. Wherefore, the lord (judge) enjoined him to confession suspended him from entry to the church, and at once the said Barker humbly requested the favour of absolution from the aforesaid suspension whom and the lord (judge) granted absolution, an oath having been sworn by him (ie, Barker), etc. And thereafter the lord (judge) enjoined him to confession and warned him to complete the same in the church there just as in the schedule before the minister and churchwardens just as in the schedule and to certify thereafter on the next (court day). And afterwards, it was certified that he had completed the confession, etc, and he is dismissed.
