The accounts for both this year and the next were rendered on 29 March 1573 (Low Sunday). The headnote for the entry on p 10 reads '...of all his receites and paymentes had & maid the yeare before the daite hereof as foloweth.' The previous accounting year ended 22 April 1571, also a Low Sunday, so it is probable that the actual accounting year for 1571–2 ran 23 April 1571–13 April 1572.
